Organisation

The Rainbow AirBridge Trust
Our mandate is to focus on delivering essential commodities, medicines and services to needy communities using volunteer private pilots and aircraft. We work with registered aid organisations within South Africa to identify communities in need. We then co-ordinate pilots, aircraft, donated goods and services as well as specialist skills if necessary and deliver this aide to these communities on a regular basis. We are an independent, non-profit, trust organization, registered as such; I Trust 5977/04 our NPO number: 038-337-NPO, and we have 18A tax exemption. Documents can be forwarded on request.

Those who benefit are;

  • Donors receive media exposure. We guarantee that 100% of their donated money or goods will be delivered to the specified community or will be utilised in ensuring that delivery. There is an opportunity for company team building in exciting logistical challenges.
  • Welfare organisations benefit by having these services delivered by volunteer pilots and aircrafts. They are exposed to a new interest group introducing their children to aviation.
  • Pilots benefit and aviation as a whole benefits, flying skills are utilized, new horizons are crossed, and pilots get the opportunity to take part in a volunteer organisation benefiting South African communities.

We plan sorties to all 4 corners of the compass;

- North to Venda - the Ga Magowa Centre.
- South to Ficksburg - Angels Home and Sunbeam Kids
- South East to Mthatha - SOS Children’s Village and Bethany Children's Home.
- East to Eshowe- Schools supported by JP Morgan.
- West to Kimberley - Christina Kiddie children's Home
